We take on Arch-Tempered Rey Dau as part of Title Update 1 after a bit of warmup. It's pretty challenging.
For the Arena quest (which released weeks after this video was recorded,) which I hate that it wasn't in the actual arena, I finally got my time under 13 minutes for the A rank. I recommend trying to make the Rey Dau y set or at least get you enough Thunder Resistance of 20. This apparently also keeps you from getting stunned? I did not have to run Stun Resistance during my trial. Also, be sure to set up camp at Area 16, the Bone one, which is right next where Rey Dau spawns. Don't forget Flash Bombs, and also bring Lure Pods - you can use these to also stop it from running, but in my best encounter it still ran not long after I hit it with one.
YOU CAN'T CAPTURE THE ARENA QUEST VERSION! So leave the tranqs at home. You can still use a Pitfall Trap to keep it still for a bit. And as you can see in this video, after it uses it's big railgun attack, you can Focus Strike it's superheated horns like a wound. Take full advantage of this!! It will take time to reset so you can do it again. There is a period of cooldown so you can't abuse it. If all else fails, you can ask people to help you! You can bring people along or join someone else's quest - but it has to happen in the lobby before the quest maker departs! Good luck!
