Flint and Thomas continue heading through Sunshine Forest trying to avoid fire and spot one of those mysterious soldiers letting some bugs loose. They also find Lighter, Flint's childhood friend, a tough as nails lumberjack. They also encounter Mr. Battys, Yammonsters, and Flint must take care of a group of Fireflies.

After reaching Lighter's Cabin, Flint finds it ablaze and breaks down the door only to find he must do battle with a Flying Mouse. After making short work of it, he finds Fuel, Lighter's optimistic son and friend of Lucas & Claus, upstairs. Flint & Fuel then make their way back towards Tazmily Village while fending off more Yammonsters.
