I've really got to hand it to Her Interactive on a well-crafted game. They really stepped up, listened to their fans, and made something that was much harder than anything in recent ND memory (at least it felt like it here!).

This particular puzzle is a great example. I tried and failed for 45 minutes or so to crack this by random experimentation, until I realized that there actually is a logical way to arrive at the solution. Apologies for such a lengthy video with tons of frustration, but if you don't want to listen to my rambling that starts after the five-minute mark, just skip to 49:23 where I finally realized what I needed to do and explain how I got there.

Well done, Her. My hat is tipped. :-)
