After a narrow escape from the police, mafia and an oncoming train in Chicago, we get to travel through the Midwest with more narrow escapes from the police and mafia. In fact, in the five races that make up Stage 8 of The Run, the police are in first one and the mafia in the final three. So this stage is about avoiding gunfire which makes for a pretty agitating stage featuring events that give you no time to react. It's a good thing that Normal difficulty gives you five checkpoint resets.
