Thoughts on NMH2!
This game is definately a lot of fun whether you're playing the mini games, laughing at the cutscenes or fighting some amazing bosses. However throughout the game, you often feel like there are little things missing. For example, when you take on Nathan Copeland, Matt Helms, Cloe Walsh, Kimmy Howell in a row, you start to realise that these bosses are very uncomplicated and as a result, far too easy. With No More Heroes 1, pretty much all the fights required strategy (atleast a better strategy then "Run up to the dude and spam A). Even Harvey from NMH1 is a better fight then most of the fights in this game and I didnt like him at all. The Trifecta of Awesome (Margaret Moonlight, Captain Vladimir and Alice Twilight) make up for this lack of excitement by offering you three very atmospheric fights and along with Ryuji, Charlie MacDonald and to an extent, Pizza Batt Jr, there are fun fights to be had... if only the rest of them were as good! The mini games are more fun then the side jobs from NMH1 (Even though a couple of them are amazingly frustrating). What I like most about this game though is the story. NMH1 had a potentially good story but it didnt really show itself. It was just about Travis cutting off heads... which is fun... but we didnt learn anything about Travis or Silvia. In this game, we learn ALL about Travis and ALL about Silvia. Travis reveals his emotions, anger and sadness, excitement and joy and its so amazing to see him go from this no nonsense assassin otaku to .. well... a real working human being who feels for people. Silvia aswell, shes hardfaced but she falls for Travis and its beautiful to see. Overall this game is terrific. I feel it should of kept the driving in, I feel some of the mini games should be less frustrating, I feel some of the fights should be much better but there is still alot of fun to be had and I recommend anyone to go out and buy it! :D
(This is not a review and I do not claim to be a reviewer :P It is just my thoughts quickly written!)
