Nobody Wants to Die is a 2024 Science Fiction neo-noir first-person narrative adventure game developed by Critical Hit Games and published by PLAION. It was released on July 17th, 2024 for Windows, Xbox Series X|S, and Playstation 5.
Taking place in a dystopian New York in 2329 after humanity has achieved immortality, the game has players control James Karra, a jaded detective with the NYPD's Department of Mortality, as he follows the trail of a serial killer who is targeting the city's elite. However, he begins to suspect that there may be more to this case than initially meets the eye.
Lose yourself in the world of New York, 2329, where immortality comes at a price that someone has to pay. Following a near-death experience, Detective James Karra takes an off-the-books case from his chief with only the help of a young police liaison, Sara Kai, to assist him. Time reveals all as they risk everything in pursuit of a killer, uncovering the dark secrets of the city's elite.
