12After taking a short timeout to grab some water and chump change, we finish climbing the Ladea Tower in order to obtain the Psycho Wand. It's sealed, and only Rein can remove the seal. Unfortunately, the moment he does, one of Zio's stronger minions appears to claim it for himself. It's boss time!
This is the first time I've fought this guy without Rein having Giwat. Not that it makes much difference. This guy's kind of an idiot, and Flamebreaths everyone who can easily resist it. Except Fal, who can't apparently, and the stupid thing criticals Rudy once, causing relatively massive damage. It's still not that hard, though, and goes down in short order.
The next part, I'll admit, was hard for me to watch. This was especially true with my current recording method, since I not only had to watch it as I was playing it, but also to record later commentary. I... couldn't say anything during that scene. I'll admit, I cry at this scene every time. I don't think any other video game death hits me quite as hard. I know there's some mildly humorous facial expressions in some of those images, but I think the mood of the scene would have been ruined with any commentary.
Anyways, I think it's time for a little revenge. Onward, to Nervus, and the downfall of Zio!
