Day 16 sets the Pikmin and Olimar back within the Distant Spring. With so much to do across a vast area, they really have their work cut out for themselves. Unfortunately, day 16 yields no parts returned to the Dolphin, but enemies have been taken out and bridges have been built to the Gluon Drive for the following day. In another file, set 3 days prior, Olimar and the blue Pikmin journey out to the center of the pond to discover a weird egg. Attacking it awakens a ghastly frog-like creature, known as the Smokey Progg. This amphibious apparition makes a bee line for the landing site to call Pikmin from the ground to be killed by its toxic cloud that trails behind it. Aim for the head and avoid the cloud and upon its defeat, you will be rewarded a gold seed. Take this to one of the onion to propagate a whopping 100 Pikmin of its respective color!
