Back when Planetfall came out, not a lot of games really tried to give you NPCs you coud develop a personal attachment to. So as jaded as I may sound if I speed over some of Floyd's text, bear in mind that we've come a ways since the original Zork here. Floyd is intentionally endearing (and actually required to win the game).
