(Played on an original Pokemon Red cart through my GameCube Game Boy Player.)

The steps to play along-

**Before you start, make sure you have a half-dozen Pokeballs, a low level Pokemon to use at the end, and two available slots on your team**

1) Defeat the trainers on Nugget Bridge.
2) Catch an Abra in the patch on the left WITHOUT being seen by the trainer in the grass. This is the trickiest step as Abra will always Transport as his first move.
3) Transport back to the Pokemon Center.
4) Go back up Nugget Bridge, head to the right, and fight the Hiker with the Onyx.
5) Head back towards the patch of grass where you found Abra. Stop and save the game.
6) Stop one step over from the pond. Press both down and pause at the same time. If done correctly, it'll bring up the pause menu as you enter the line of sight of that trainer we avoided before. Select Abra's Transport. Before the transport, it'll show the trainer seeing you- but still bring you back to the Pokemon Center.
7) Go back up Nugget Bridge, head to the right, walk past the Hiker. DO NOT FIGHT ANY OTHER TRAINERS. Walk up, to the right, and up until you hug the wall. Walk to the right and the Youngster will the Slowpoke will battle you. DO NOT APPROACH HIM- LET HIM COME TO YOU.
8) After the win, Transport back to the Pokemon Center.
9) Walk up Nugget Bridge for the last time. The game will trigger an auto-pause. Back out of the menu with the B button.
10) Viola! The Mew fight will trigger. Use that lowest level Pokemon to slightly drain his HP and catch the newest member of your party.
