Let's Play Pokemon Ruby (Blind) - Hoenn-bound - Part 1
It's time to start a new let's play by picking up where I left off. The last time I played a Pokemon game was about two decades ago with Pokemon Gold on the original Game Boy. Now, I'm getting back into the game with the third-generation Pokemon Ruby.
Of course, you can't get going in a new Pokemon game without selecting a starter Pokemon. However, it wasn't my choice. There was a Community poll that determined who I will be starting with.

Pokemon Ruby Version is a Japanese-style role-playing game that was developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It was released in 2002 in Japan and in 2003 in other regions alongside Pokemon Sapphire Version. The "enhanced" version of these games, Pokemon Emerald Version, was released two years later in each region (2004 in Japan and 2005 worldwide). Ruby and Sapphire were remade as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with updates from newer Pokemon games and released in 2014 on the 3DS.
In Pokemon Ruby, the player must travel the Hoenn region in their quest to become the very best Pokemon trainer like no one ever was. To complete this quest, you must earn all eight gym badges, defeat Team Magma, best the Final Four and collect all of the Pokemon in the game.
