We continue to fight for our freedom, picking up new passengers on our little traveling caravan as we go. But before all that we head to the Spring of Jomuer to take on The Fate.

Following up on their successes with Bastion and Transistor, Supergiant Games are back with their latest indie offering - Pyre. A curious blend of narrative based RPG and 3v3 party based sports combat. You play as The Reader, a stranger lost in the wastelands and recruited by a ragtag band of exiles called The Nightwings. With the aid of a curious volume you all hope to win back your freedom and once again return home to The Commonwealth through a serious of mysterious Rites.

These Rites take on the form of a team based sport like basketball or soccer with goal being to grab the ball and cast it into you opponents pyre. Sounds simple enough but as you play you discover it requires a element of strategy as well as quick reflexes.

And, as with all Supergiant games, Pyre also features a beautiful score and gorgeous visual aesthetic.
