Racing Lagoon is a combination Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) and car racing game developed and published by Square (also known as SquareSoft) in 1999. Square refers to the game as a "High Speed Driving RPG" though one could shorten that to a CarPG. The game was only released in Japan for the PlayStation but a fan translation of the game into English was released in 2021.

Yokohama's illegal street racing scene is still bustling in 1999. Ten years ago, the scene crowned a man they dubbed "Yokohama's Fastest LEGEND." Now, they are still trying to crown a successor to the legend. The newest member of one of Yokohama's biggest street racing teams, Sho Akasaki, finds himself drawn into a complex web of the racing scene with a lot more happening than people racing for parts, pinks and titles...
