Let's Play Ratchet Future: Crack in Time - Part 28 - Rip You ∞ New Ones (Finale)
In this part we return to the Nefarious Space Station to face off against the bad doctor for the last time! He's pulling out all the stops to silence this squishy once and for all, so we're gonna need all the firepower we can get! Or maybe just the Doom Blades, that works too.
Once we short-circuit Nefarious again, it's back to the Great Clock to bid farewell to Clank. Ah yes, I love short, uneventful goodbyes. Yep!

And so concludes what many consider the peak of the Ratchet series! Having not played the game again for the better part of a decade, I was excited going into this one to see if that really holds true, and for the most part...it really does!
Insomniac really pulled out the big guns for this one (insert joke about lackluster weapon roster here) and delivered a hell of a game in the process. The ship exploration, while a bit tedious towards the end of the game, is still a huge step for the series, and I'd be lying if I said I got tired of listening to the multiple radio stations the game offers.
The gameplay is your series standard run n' gun, but with the introduction of the Hoverboots the game is blown wide open. These things are SO much fun to play around with and I hope they return in the next game. Heck, even on the Clank side of things they gave us something I thought we'd never get. Clank sections that I actually wish were longer. The recording puzzles are definitely a huge highlight of the game for me!
Saving the best for last, I think the story deserves some praise. This has never been the series strong-suit, but having Dr. Nefarious back in the villain seat really put a smile on my face. Add that to the Zoni nonsense of the last game being justified with Orvus and the Great Clock, Azimuth finally giving the Lombax's more context, and what is pretty easily the best finale of the series to date. This game could be the last one of the franchise and I don't think anybody could complain!
That being said, it isn't quite the end yet! For the Future series we still have one more to go with Into the Nexus, and one console generation ahead we have a re-imagining of the very first game! Two Ratchet games in a row is enough for now, but I'm pretty pleased with how far we've come with this series, and I'm excited to finish it...in the future!
I hope you enjoyed the LP ;D
