Let's Play Rent-A-Hero No. 1 for the Original Xbox
One of the first big articles I ever did was a history-of piece on the Rent-A-Hero franchise for Game2Extreme to lead to a review of the game itself. Sadly, the game was cancelled before it saw a commercial release, but I was able to get a review copy playable on a modded system. That's something I didn't have until about a year ago, and I finally got around to checking it out tonight.
It's certainly not the best-looking Xbox (or Dreamcast, where it originated) game ever, it still looks decent enough. The wacky comedy is amusing, and I love the music. You can't really beat a first battle against Dadzilla either, or getting a superhero costume with a food delivery. Usually, you have to worry about leaving a tip and this place gives you something you can use to destroy people.
