Part 35 of the iPad game Riven.

ALTERNATE ENDING 7: In this ending we capture Gehn. After capturing Gehn though we do not rescue Catherine. Instead we go back and open up the star fissure. Atrius arrives and sees we captured Gehn but is sad and puzzled that we didn't rescue Catherine. Since the age is collapsing there's not much time so he has to leave. He tells us our way home is clear and wonders if we'll meet again.

Not the happiest ending, but maybe the best ALTERNATE ENDING even though Catherine isn't saved.
