Let's Play Rune Factory: Oceans Part 52 - Finally Clearing The Flame Spirit Shrine!
0Continuing on from the previous part, I check on my crops and monsters.
With the day getting late after doing that, I end up returning to Fenith island instead of trying to defeat the flame spirit shrine boss.
So instead of fighting the crab from hell again, I talk to some people, and make some more meals in preparation for the next battle against the boss.
After doing all of that, I go to sleep to get on to the next day.
I start the next day as I always do, by going about my usual morning routine of talking to everyone on the island.
While talking to everyone on the island, I also make another wish at the dragon shrine to learn more about another person.
This time around, I go with Elena.
So what does Elena love? And what does she hate? Well she loves small crystal, (This is the way it's worded in the game!) and hates milk.
Moving on from that, I eventually finish talking to everyone on the island, and also buy some food from Odette.
After then going about my daily routine of checking on my crops and monsters, I once again head back into the flame spirit shrine with some monsters to take on the crab boss.
And how does the fight play out this time around? Well as you can probably tell from the title of this part, I manage to win the battle this time around! (Hurray!)
Surprisingly, the battle wasn't all that bad! I even had all three of my monsters still standing at the end of the battle! (Keeping the monsters healthy and having a rune ability really helps to get through this fight!)
So what happens after the boss is defeated? The goblin pirate and his crew reappear to battle us!
But why? Well it looks like there is a misunderstanding between us and the goblin pirate, as he seems to think that we're some how responsible for turning the earth spirit shrine to stone. (Kind of confusing how that works seeing as most of the tower was made of stone in the first place!)
Without really resolving this misunderstanding, I knock out the goblin pirate and his crew, and then head further into the shrine.
And this is the part of the game we've all been waiting for! The appearance of the main antagonist! (Over 50 parts into this lp, and only now do we get to see the villain!)
The villain, simply called the "Masked man", as he refuses to tell us who he is, holds the orb of the flame spirit shrine in his hands.
As he holds it in his hands, the goblin pirate shows up again and tells him to be careful with that orb.
In response, the masked man drops the orb.
As it shatters and causes the place to turn to stone, Aden and the goblin pirate can only look on in shock.
The masked man then turns away without saying anything as the evil spirits show up.
Seeing as we can't really defeat them right now, we make a some what hasty retreat! (Aden never seems to be in much of a hurry in cutscenes!)
Once we make it outside of the shrine, we find a red core.
As Aden and Sonja's accompanying dialogue points out, we need to give the red core to Elena so that she can upgrade Ecco again.
So with the flame spirit shrine finally cleared, I head back to Fenith island.
Before going to bed, I talk to some people at the inn, and give the red core to Elena.
But as Aden sleeps, he is rudely awoken by the most unlikely group of people!
And those people are: Sierra, Joe, Pandora and Elena.
So why did they give Aden a random wake up call? Well it seems Sonja told them to do that! (What a random scenario!)
This scene ends with Aden running outside after them. (Elena also tries to sleep in Aden's bed!)
So with a new day beginning, and the plot ever so slowly moving forward, what will happen next? Find out in the next part!
