Runes can be used to craft spells on the fly and can be changed and modified to your hearts content!
Craft a spell shooting fiery bolts that split off into massive explosion every time they light an enemy on fire. Or an aura that knocks any enemy that approaches you back, at least until the hordes of enemies overwhelm you. The only limit is your creativity... and your mana.
