Let's Play Shining Force Part 4 - Battle At Alterone
1Continuing on from the previous part, I talk to the townfolk of Alterone, pick up some treasure here and there, and then head to the castle to talk to the king.
But before talking to the king, I have a look around and talk to everyone else there.
While exploring the castle, I stumble upon what looked to be Runefaust soldiers in the basement!
But the guard just tells us that we saw nothing and won't let us explore that part of the castle.
Along with this suspicious sight, there is also a character named Khris at the castle.
Why do I even mention this character? Well it's because she has a character portrait and will play a role later on in this part!
After talking to everyone, and finding a bunch of treasure in the castle, I talk to the king.
Upon telling him about what happened to Guardiana, the king is surprised and asks us to follow him to talk to a tactician of his.
And that tactican? Well that's gotta be Kane!
This twist reveals that the king had been tricked into turning us in to Runefaust in order to protect Alterone.
And so we get locked up in a cell with the priest that was noticeably missing from the church.
While the priest has no way of helping us out of the cell, Khris, the character from earlier, appears and unlocks the cell door.
Determined to save Alterone and stop the forces of Runefaust, Khris joins the shining force.
Before heading to the shining force headquarters, she reveals a secret stairway that leads to that long passageway that leads out of the castle.
After escaping via this secret passage, I check on the newest shining force member at headquarters, and then head out to battle the forces of Runefaust.
Having taken over Alterone, this battle takes place in the town.
And just before this battle begins, Kane is called back to Runefaust.
While he doesn't take part in the battle as a result, he does taunt us as he leaves the other soldiers to battle us.
This battle introduces some new enemy types, and is also a bit tougher than some of the previous battles.
But much like the previous battles, I manage to defeat the majority of the enemies.
Why the majority and not all? Because the recording was getting pretty lengthy towards the end of the battle!
