Hello and welcome to FatherofTwo Plays . . . SKYRIM:SPECIAL EDITION.

Join Halcyon Rain the Khajiit Dragonborn as he saves Tamriel from certain doom. Skyrim is an open world fantasy RPG from Bethesda Softworks the makers of the Elder Scrolls series as well as the Fallout series whose license was acquired from Interplay. This is an expansive and engrossing story of a realm threatened by the return of the Dragons. You take on the role of a prisoner on his/her way to his/her execution. The choices you make from that point on will shape the kind of person you will be in the realm. Your skills will increase merely by using them, so every action is important. We will be trying to save as many lives as we can as we venture into Skyrim.

Skyrim is a land steeped in tradition and modeled in a Nordic fashion. Recently the Empire of Cyrodil has begun to change their ancient traditions causing tensions between the native Nords and the Imperials from cyrodil. Civil war is on the horizon and just as tension come to a head the ancient Dragons return to the realm throwing everything into chaos.

SKRIM:SPECIAL EDITION is a comprehensive next-gen adaptation of the original. It’s new features include:
-Remastered art and effects
-Volumetric God Rays
-Dynamic depth of field
-Screen-space reflections
-New snow shaders
-New water shaders
-Mod support for consoles
-All downloadable content

This is one of my all time favorite games, all the elder scrolls games I have played rank up in my top ten so I tend to say that Bethesda RPG’s are in my top ten instead of naming all of the fallout and elder scrolls games they have made that I love. They have a unique style and atmosphere that I love sooooo much. I cannot wait to get back into this epic fantasy world to rediscover and indeed discover new things. If you have ever played one of Bethesda's RPG’s you will know that it is nearly impossible to discover everything in one playthrough.

I have only played through the main story one time and I have not seen the entirety of the game by far yet because I was attending University for Jazz Studies in the years after it’s release. I have not played the DLC so that will be entirely blind, which will be exciting for me and I hope for you as well. Join a lover of everything Bethesda as he delves into the lore and the gameplay of one of the greatest games ever made.
