Lets Play: "Slay The Spire" Part 21 (The Defect Ascension 1 Run 9)
GUYS ITS FINALLY THE RUN!!! I had a phone call I had to take (from around 15:15-28:25) where I went AFK and left the recording running. I wasn't expecting it to take that long so I didn't stop the recording and splice things together so please forgive! Skip ahead to the end of the AFK break if you wish!
This deck was the deck man.. Finally a culmination of all of our efforts in the last NINE runs on The Defect in Ascension 1.. This thing had a upgraded Streamline to deal fat damage early, a upgraded Melter to remove shields and also deal nasty damage. Cards like Electrodynamics to become a god of lightning, a few Ball Lightnings to create even more orbs that then push the other orbs out, evoking them and hitting everyone in the fight with Electrodynamics. Cards like Seek to find whatever answer we need in that current moment and finally cards like Reboot and Hologram to give me a reshuffle or to return a key card for a situation at hand, but often times it was just used to return Streamline which then was played for its cheaper cost, making it free for the future and possibly killing a target.. And on top of it all, amazing relics like Incense Burner giving us INTANGIBLE every SIX turns.. This thing saved our ass so many times its insane. Relics like Maw Bank to build a big bank roll that we could spend on power in future shops. Relics like Girya to stack raw strength at campfires which made our attacks hit even harder. I feel like the key players in this deck were its Strength scaling and attack cards, relics like Incense Burner and Self Repair replenishing any damage we did take. For those reasons, I have named this deck "The Stormwarden of the Smoke". A powerful name for the deck that saw us through Ascension 1 on my worst character. I'm terrified for Ascension 2 on this robot.
