Lets Play: "Slay The Spire" Part 19 (The Defect Ascension 1 Run 7)
1I have to be honest, I didn't have much confidence in this run from the start. From the moment we talked to Neow and got a.. Amplify.. Yuck..
While this deck had a decent structure, it fell a bit short due to multiple shortcomings. It had some cool possibilities of healing with Amplify and Self Repair but the likeliness of us having both of those cards in our hand at the same time, and then having to spend TWO mana on it while likely having to put up enough block with one mana to deal with incoming damage.. We had a Streamline for good damage but we just couldn't really get this thing off the ground. We had a bad rare from the start, one that was basically a curse for us for many turns, we had bad relics with things like Winged Boots not really giving us any REAL value unfortunately. We made it to the second floor and scrapped together what we could but not all of them are winners! The only thing that matters is we're getting better at both The Defect and Slay The Spire in general.
