Lets Play: "Slay The Spire" Part 80 (The Defect Ascension 8 Run 2)

WE PLAYED SO HORRIBLY THROUGHOUT MANY FIGHTS.. but it doesn't matter baby! The Defect is so strong you can misplay and its still okay! The thing thats crazy about this character is they themselves feel like they have more complexitity than ALL of the other characters together inside of them. The amount of different ways you can play this character is truly insane.. Theres so much room for different opportunities. This character really doesn't have just ONE way of finding lethal, it has like twelve different ways, all of which are effective and efficent in its own way. This deck was a pretty standard power and orb focused deck, using key relics like Mummified Hand to manipulate our hand and make things free allowing us to play crazy turns we otherwise wouldn't be able to.. We also had things like Meteor Strike giving us nearly infinite energy once we tricked it into play once. Also this was my first run using Multi-Cast and at first I really thought this card was terrible but after realizing the amount of energy we can make on this character and the orbs we can summon, I recognized the value in a ten or twelve energy evoked darkness orb. I've named this deck "Multi-Cast Maelstrom" for our key killing card being a double or triple Turbo'ed out Multi-Cast card on a darkness orb we'd had cooking with insane focus for a few turns. We didn't get it off TOO many times, but we did fire off a few crazy evoked darkness orbs and damn it felt good and gave me a LOT of new ideas for decks I want to try in the future! I'm slowly loving this character more and more with every ascension floor and they might become my favorite character by the end.. We'll see.. Its going to be very hard to overthrow The Silent because I'm a rogue player through and through BUT I just love the creative way this character plays so much! Its so unique and different!
