Let's Play SMBX: Bowser Strikes Back (Update) [Part 25]
9Mario must be having a strange dream.
Just in case, no, you do not get a star for completing the boss rush.
EDIT: I've made modifications to the halfway point, as I was still not willing to let a simple issue like this keep me from progress. Unfortunately, another one did. Due to the final boss fight being a separate level attached to this one, the halfway point resets. If you die in the final battle, you get sent back to the very beginning of the castle. Although I do want to see the whole battle, I'm not up for a gimmick like this.
(What's kind of hilarious is that I received a few comments comparing a few of the games I've played to Battletoads, and this SMBX Episode pulled a Ninja Gaiden 1.)
