This mission is typically a pain to play through while sneaking about, but it becomes surprisingly smooth and easy when you shoot anyone and everyone who gets in your way. The tactical shooter mod really shined in this mission and I'm glad to have experimented around a bit towards the end in order to find out just how good the game programming of Ubisoft was even back in 2002 when this game first came out. There is very little scope for exploration in this mission itself, being aboard a submarine and all, but I am also glad to explore the Armoury and read through some of the data sticks.
After forcing the compressor of the Vselka to turn off and consequently forcing the submarine to surface for air, Sam Fisher makes his way aboard the Russian submersible in search of answers. Answers that the NSA's Third Echelon initiative desires and pertain to the use and procurement of Nuclear Devices. Sam's objective is simple, access the ship's control room and determine whether or not it still has all the nukes. Regardless, the Georgian mercenaries are in for one hell of a surprise in this instalment of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.
