Stage 1: Death Star Attack. The Rebels lead their last ditch assault against the Empire's super weapon,before it can destroy their base on Yavin IV. Your first objective is to take out all of the Deflection Towers with Luke,Biggs,and Wedge. Feel free to target some of the gun turrets along the way too if you want. After they're destroyed,a wave of TIE Fighters will be inbound. After the cutscene,just to the left of where you appear is the Advanced Shields Tech Upgrade. The TIEs can be difficult to spot with space in the background,use your Targeting Computer if needed to locate them. Once they're all downed,it's Luke's turn for the trench run! Watch out for turrets along the way. Eventually more TIE Fighters will appear from behind. Just Brake to get behind them,including when Darth Vader shows up. Fire Proton Torpedoes at the thermal exhaust port to destroy the Death Star! Stage 2: Ison Corridor Ambush. Rogue Squadron must escort the Rebels to their new base on Hoth. The Advanced Proton Torpedoes Tech Upgrade is just below where you start the stage,through some of the space rubble. You'll have the protect the Medical Frigate,Redemption,and it's convoy from TIE Fighter assault. After the first wave,you have the option to switch from the balanced X-Wing to the speedy A-Wing if you want to. The last part of the stage has the Rebels in a low visibility nebula. Keep your eyes peeled for TIE Interceptors,there's not many. If you saved Torpedoes/Missiles,you can just lock on and kill them quickly.
