Having encountered a still surviving though bound Xel'Naga known as Ouros, it reveals it was using Tassadar's projection to guide and lure Zeratul and finally Artanis at the end into the void, where it could assist in the Zerg Queen, Kerrigan's transformation into a being like itself, a Xel'Naga.
