Basically, the game has been hacked to glitch out and go crazy in a bunch of different insane ways. It makes for some crazy rage and some laughs! Mario leaps 100 feet in the air, trees and blocks and rocks suddenly home in on you in screaming bee swarm death tornadoes, Lakitu's cold corpse.... follows you. Here's a quote from Kaze Emanuar:

"I modified the original SM64 to randomly patch [old cheat device] Gameshark codes I found on the Internet (or made myself) to the game. This resulted in a pretty funny, instable and frustrating game. Don't take this too serious and don't try to get any progress done in the game. You won't."

I've been watched PeanutButterGamer and CinnamonToastKen struggle to get stars and take on Bowser on their respective channels, and I've been inspired to try to do the same. Super Mario 64 is one of my favorite games, so any excuse to fire up the classic N64 game is good by me! Not sure how many levels we'll get through, but today we cover Bob-Omb Battlefield, and Whomps Fortress!
