Once, every one hundred years, a comet appears in the skies above the Mushroom Kingdom. To celebrate the comet, The kingdom gathers together for its centennial Star Festival! Its a special night for all, especially Mario, who receives an invitation from Peach, saying there's something she'd like to show him. Star bits rain down from the heavens as Toads frolic in bliss on the way to the castle. Unfortunately, the festivities are short lived, as a fleet of airships, controlled by Bowser, appear and attack the kingdom. Bowser appears before the princess and uses the power of a UFO and his airships to uproot the entire castle and carry it into space, princess, plumber, and all. Mario becomes separated from Peach and awakens on an unknown planet. There, he's introduced to the Lumas, sentient star creatures, as well as their caretaker, Rosalina, the princess of the stars. She entrusts one of her Lumas to Mario, giving him the ability to spin, allowing him to attack enemies and Use Launch Stars to blast off to distant planets in search of Power Stars. Its an adventure of cosmic proportions as Mario takes to the stars in search of Power Stars to rescue Peach and to thwart Bowser's plans of universal conquest in my Let's Play of SUPER MARIO GALAXY!
