Do I need to explain what chess is? It' is a game that has endured in one form or another for many centures, with the current version having so many books dedicated to strategy that people spend their entire lives trying to master it. At the same time, people are coming up with computer programs that seek to be unbeatable with great success.

I like to think of myself as a dabbler in the genre. I know the rules and I have played it from time to time, but I'd never say that I'm good at it. Let's see if I can best a decades old 'AI' without making a fool of myself, shall we?
