Welcome back to The Corruption Within by @voidbreach. In the last episode Samuel found a screwdriver hidden in the purple fern then looks around the abandoned barn where he finds a piece of steel wire sticking out of the crumbling mortar after unsuccessfully trying to pull it out with his bare hands he uses the spanner to break some of the mortar so he can easily pull it out. Samuel then decides to head back to the house where Molly is waiting for him she asks if he is hungry he realizes how hungry he is so he agrees she says she doesn't have much but he is welcome to the trout, potatoes, and some carrots that she heated up for him. Samuel says the trout is delicious and asks if it is from the lake outside. She says yes it is Lord Charles is a great fisherman. She says that Gary loves to work at nights during the full moon but she hates it. She doesn't believe he ever sleeps and you usually can find him at the stables trying to pretend the horses are still alive. Samuel then decides to use his screwdriver on the metal plate and finds something very interesting inside hidden behind the plate. It is a small packet with a sheet of very old paper it is a diary entry and the last page is signed by Samuel Pepys Samuel Taylor wonders if the family even knows of its existence. Samuel decides to send the diary entry anonymously to a museum. Samuel then heads up to the second floor and discovers Isabelle sobbing. He asks what is wrong Isabelle says that Lady Charlotte lost the sheet music of the tune that they used to play together. She was really angry but not at Isabelle she thinks. She says the music always makes Lady Charlotte happy too but she disappears after it is played ok that to me sounds like the piano opens up a secret passage. Isabelle also would love if Samuel could find a book of poetry by Wordsworth that she is missing too. The book of poetry is easily found Samuel locates it in the school room he then gives it to Isabelle. Samuel explores the second floor and runs into Lady Charlotte again in her bedroom. Samuel also finds a footlocker that warrants further investigation when she either leaves the room or we lure her out. Samuel talks to Lady Charlotte and finds out all that he can from her. He also leaves very quickly because she creeps him out. Samuel continues wandering around upstairs and stumbles into Lady Dennison's bedroom the lady starts screaming at the top of her lungs accusing Samuel of trying to steal her jewels which causes Lord Dennison to come see what is going on after telling him about the situation he understands but says please leave so I can calm down my wife he also says if there is something he can help with later please let him know. Samuel continues to stumble around upstairs and heads into another bedroom which happens to be the bedroom of Lord Charles the son of Lord Dennison and Isabelle's husband he also is the guy who caught the fish Samuel ate earlier. Samuel leaves and continues walking around he finds a box of matches in one of the console tables outside of one of the bedrooms. Samuel then stumbles into the bedroom and runs into Penelope who is the children's nurse and educator. Which children Samuel wonders as there haven't been any in some time. Penelope has basically lost her mind and believes the children will come back any day now. Samuel decides to head back to the Stables where he runs into Gary. Gary says this house has many secrets one of which is of great importance to him personally meet him in the dining room later and he will tell Samuel about it. Hmm I bet he wants us to fetch something for him. Phew again sorry for the long windedness. In this episode Lord Dennison forgot to lock the study so Samuel decides to investigate it inside he finds a magnifying glass and evidence that Lord Dennison is bribing the local police chief. Samuel then heads upstairs and finds that Lady Charlotte is not in her room time to explore that footlocker more thoroughly. You will notice I cut this video off earlier than usual that is because I thought I was trapped and encountered a bug after talking to the designer of the game I found out that was not the case. In the next episode I explore Lady Charlotte's room again so I can see what it is I missed and what else well you will have to tune in to the next episode to find out.
