Welcome back to Shovel Knight by @yachtclubgames. In the last episode Shovel Knight took down the immensely creepy Spectre Knight in his creepy hideout the Lich Yard. In this episode after exploring the Troupple Pond and Forest of Phasing (which we need something that can protect us from spikes or let us float over them) and getting nowhere. Shovel Knight heads into the Explodatorium the lair of the Plague Knight. This level gave me a few fits I'm not going to lie. The main trick of this level is as you might expect stuff that explodes one enemy in particular is a real nuisance a rat that explodes after you hit it with your shovel. Then there are birds that dive bomb you with exploding beakers. There are also obstacles showcased in this level like burners that turn on when you stand on them giving you a horrible hot foot and barrel lids that shoot up and down the objective to use them to reach areas you can't reach normally beware however later in the level if you stand on the barrel lid it will launch you into spikes because of course they do. I also discover in this level that you can destroy checkpoints accidentally when I stupidly jump on the glass containing fire too many times. Oh one enemy I forgot to mention in this level are evil Shovel Knight clones. I never thought I would see the boss but I finally reach Plague Knight. Plague Knight attacks mainly with bombs he can also cause big beakers of explosive liquid to appear in the arena which you can't destroy however he can destroy with his bombs doing damage to you and the surrounding area. He also like Specter Knight can disappear and reappear. However all of his tricks could not save him and I vanquished him like the rest. Once I beat Plague Knight a secret boss appeared I have no idea why or what triggered it but I managed to beat him as well. Beating him got me another music sheet and some gems.
