With a momentary boost of knowing what to do, we finally finish the critter puzzle and find another door rod and a couple of scepters. Before I let the confusion get to me again, we zip off to open the green door in the nexus and head to yet another spire. I don't know how these aliens kept all the crystals, rods, and scepters straight. Look at them all!
