Let's Play Wave Race: Blue Storm Part 1 - Exibition & Explanation
Wave Race: Blue Storm is a jetski racing video game released as a launch title for the Nintendo Gamecube. It is the third game in the Wave Race franchise and the direct sequel to Wave Race 64 for the Nintendo 64, which many people remember fondly among other extreme games of the time like 1080 Snowboarding and Tony Hawk. Wave Race: Blue Storm keeps the basic method of course 'design' of the jetskiing genre (slaloming between colored buoys and penalizing you for skipping too many) but it boasts dynamic waves that can radically change your approach while racing and a weather system that gives even more variance to how well the water may handle when you're racing a course.
Pick from one of eight characters - some returning from Wave Race 64, some new, and some characters from the 1080 Snowboarding series of games - and then race through the Championship modes, unlocking more tracks as you go along and seeing harder versions of the locales you've already seen before. If you really want to test that perfect line, you can Time Trial any track you have either completd or are about to race in the next championship. There's also a stunt mode, but...uhh...that's kind of an extra thing and I'll cover that later on.
