I always loved the original x-com though I haven't played it in years. I missed all it's sequels and even the first Firaxis reboot until I played the (non-expansion) XCOM 2 a few years ago. Great game, and made even better by War of the Chosen. I'd honestly rank it as one of the best expansions of all time. I saw a few Let's Play videos of the game the other day and thought hell I should try it. 2021 seems like a fine time to expel the alien invaders.

I considered playing with mods, such as the fantastic Long War, as the game has great modding support. I decided to forgo them however as I thought the expansion would add enough new content for me. Long War is also probably to long for the channel, though it adds a lot of interesting things.
