Let's Race SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom [Stream Archive - 9/30/2023]
6Walter, Bobby, Custard and I compete to reach the normal end game of Battle for Bikini Bottom (getting 75 spatulas and completing the final boss level, no special tricks or anything). Race begins at 03:18. Results can be seen below.
As many of you know, I've played this game many times. Custard had some familiarity with the early parts of the game going in, but for Walter and Bobby this was essentially a blind run. So, not exactly a fair fight, but this is also far from the last live-streamed race of a game we plan to do, including plans to tackle this game again sometime soon, perhaps with some modifying conditions. Also, it was just a fun time gaming and chilling with the homies, for what ended up being literally the entire day, my longest stream ever thus far, and the first stream to carry on without me for its final three hours or so. Bloopers, beverages and belly laughs are had in this 10-hour nautical odyssey. Hope you enjoy whichever portion of it you watch.

Final times, unless otherwise noted, are rounded to the nearest second at the moment the player hits the final node in Robot SpongeBob's brain.
*NOTE: Custard stopped playing after getting fucked over by the game during the very last part of the final level, left for a while, then came back later in the stream and completed the game off-screen and without a timer. Custard doesn't remember his time and doesn't declare it in the stream, so I've acted as if Custard's timer was running whenever Walter's and Bobby's were during his absence and arbitrarily placed his final time at 10 seconds before he mentions seeing the credits, the earliest indication of his completing the game.
In general, just bear in mind that this was a pretty loosely enforced race, so these aren't the most hard and fast numbers lol. The gaps between the times are such that it makes little difference though. Perhaps we'll get more coordinated with this stuff in future races. Apologies to the official Official Pope Francis recordkeepers of the future.
