Back to Pokemon Uranium and I was really looking forward to this! I've been enjoying all the weird and unique pokemon that I was coming across and that, for once, your rival chooses the weaker type, instead of Blue (Or Gary or whatever you wanna call him) who is a dick by picking something that'll be strong against your type, then invites you into a pokemon battle to rub your nose in it!

The rival in this game is annoying and at times very frustrating, however, he does mature later. Currently, however, we're getting our first few pokemon badges with the first being Normal-type gym, which is an often overlooked type and then a mineral badge for rock, ground and metal types.

Unlike the mainline games, gym leaders are actually dangerous! They know how to use their pokemon effectively and are a step up from the random trainers that you meet on your path. Gaining a badge actually feels like an accomplishment and not a needless fetch-quest that you have to do until the championship.
