This time we explore another game that never made it to the west called "Mystic Nights" and despite the name, this is not a sword and sorcery adventure where we're going to slay dragons. Instead, this game is very familiar to Resident Evil/Silent Hill but sources are far more plentiful and the weapons evolve the more that you use them. Guns and your sword transform the more xp you give them. As is shown in this and highlights, my sword transforms into a new kind of blade whereas my gun suddenly gains a laser sight and suppressor!

In regards to the story, you get invited to this facility where your old friend, Allen, was having trouble and needed your help as a genetics researcher to help figure out a problem he's working on, but just as you get in the elevator an explosion happens and we're soon trapped in this lab full of monsters!
