Let's Try 30XX (Very Pre-Alpha Demo)
6Here's my Let's Try of very pre-alpha demo of 30XX (PC), a 2D roguelite action platformer, in-development by Batterystaple Games. This demo was available during the 2020 Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition, from June 16th to 22nd.
A thousand years following the events of 20XX, you (and possibly a friend) take on the role of Nina or Ace, on a mission to save what remains of the Earth.
This game's essentially the gameplay of Mega Man X meets roguelite design, with some additions. Controls are crisp, movement's fluid, and the "32-bit" pixel-art graphics are an improvement over the original's "flash-game" graphics. Every stage is procedurally generated, with later stages being harder. I'm curious to see if the stage design has improved however. Nonetheless, it's looking to be a refinement over its predecessor.
