I don't know what it was exactly that drew me to Enigma of Fear; I don't go out of my way to play horror games, but there was something about Enigma of Fear that just.. drew me to it. Maybe it was the super interesting art style. Maybe it was the interesting overlap of game styles. Maybe it was the legitimately interesting premise of story told in the trailer. I don't know, but what ever it was: I'm glad I did.
Enigma of Fear is a horror survival adventure game, not dissimilar to games like Resident Evil or Silent Hill, but with an interesting focus on puzzles, stealth, and far more interesting (or perhaps just less wooden) characters. It also features a sort of multi-timeline story thing that I only just scratched the surface of in this trial, and it's really left me wanting to play more.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Brazilian dev houses make some legitimately awesome games. I've yet to be disappointed in a game that's come out of Brazil.
