In the shoot'em up arcade game G-Darius you fly the Silver Hawk and experience the conflicts between the Amnelia Kingdom and the merciless Thiima Empire that took place before the battle between the people of Darius and Belsar. During this conflict, the series’ iconic Silver Hawks were created to make use of the game’s unique capture ball system. With the capture ball you can actually capture enemies and have them fight for you.


G-Darius was initially released by Taito in 1997 and is the fourth arcade installment of the Darius series and the first one to feature three-dimensional polygonal graphics. The HD-version is a beautiful port by M2. The game is known for its epic boss battles.


G-Darius HD has been released for both Switch and PS4 and includes both the original and the remastered version and quite a few nice features (mainly shown at the end of the video). In this video I show you my first gameplay impressions of the original game and the remaster on the Switch.
