Let's Try Operation Hardcore (Demo)
5Welcome to my Let's Try of the demo of Operation Hardcore, an "action-packed 2D side-scrolling shooter inspired by classic twitchy action games of yesteryear, but with modern touches and conveniences" (according to the description). It's being developed by Adam McLellan and Ricardo Chirino, and is aiming for a release date in Late 2015.
From what I have played of this demo, it reminds me quite a bit of Contra and Metal Slug. Mainly for the difficulty (back to default weapon upon death, which occurs upon one un-shielded hit) and gameplay style. I'm looking forward to playing the full title later this year. Especially with the inclusion of the harder difficulty settings and a 3-player local co-op mode.
