Level will not load ? - Look at that log... First 7 minutes, rest of video is sight seeing in level
By skimming over the log that is generated I was successfully determine the hidden reason my level would not load.
I did not have to look long to see what was causing a problem but results can vary. Think of a crash log like this...
A video you watch of a pizza delivery. All you see in the video is a drone camera footage showing the car leave pizza kitchen and arrive at house for delivery. This is the loading screen for a level.
Everything that happened to allow for a delivery involves many systems all being in place and being executed in steps. There is the pizza kitchen, the oven, the computer that a person answers a phone and enters an order into, the kitchen cook, him reading a screen with an order and then fabricating a pizza, the oven, the steps involved start to finish for a pizza to bake. Then the delivery method. The car, the route it takes to get to destination. All that stuff going on behind the scenes are comparable to all the systems in the game engine that take place. If a pizza delivery failed, and the manager asked what went wrong he would inspect all the steps and determine which one was the culprit simply reading the timeline of events and arrive to the one that caused the problem. Maybe the manager is not oven mechanic, but can recognize an error is related to the oven :) Or maybe he is not a mechanic but saw the problem related to the delivery vehicle leaving the kitchen but no log recorded for house arrival. Its likely a dumb analogy but that is my thinking process looking at the logs. Go though like that pizza manager at all the things that was recorded. Google stuff to see what something is talking about and may realize hey that has to do with audio. Then it clicks, I did this that or the other yesterday installing some whatever for audio and had to move a usb and forgot to...
If I get another crash I will make another video, and go in blind like today not knowing... See if I can figure out next one.
