Disclaimer: The stats that I am using are not effective for everyone, this my own interpretation of what a good Polearm user should use, especially in terms of strength and a balance of Agility, Con and Willpower.

If any PVP player has a problem with what I saying, inform me of what the stats or skills should be.

I also made a mistake: The Boar Spear is level 30, not 60 in Spearman.

So we begin at stage 0, Primitive levels of weaponry. The best 2 tools for any primitive attacker is the Fishing pole and the Primitive axe. Albeit you won't have my stats at the beginning with these, they will still drop a player if enough hits are landed.

From there you will go to iron tools, so a great step forward and a big change in stats mid game. From that point you should also have a forge, this will grant you the ability to use the Spear at level 0 spearman. Skilling Spearman to 90 will grant you the Bec De Corbin and a better usage of Polearm weapons.

We are now on Guard. Guard allows you to use the Glaive at level 0 which is fantastic since this is a nicely made Polearm weapon that can slash and pierce. Skill this to level 60 and you will be rewarded with the Partisan and the Pollaxe, bot phenomenal weapons against armoured and non-armoured players.
