Life is Strange has all the elements of my kind of game. Truthfully, this title is one I should LOVE, yet there’s something here that just feels off. Is it weirdly-crafted dialogue? Is it the fact that I actually dislike the main character? Is it something else? I’m not sure. There’s something that just seems inauthentic about this game; these disparate elements that, on paper, I feel should make for another ‘favorite’ title just don’t seem to gel for me.

Don’t let my feelings on this game discourage you, though. The first episode is available for free on Steam; so I’d recommend you give it a try.
