Axe/Spear is quite an interesting configuration to use in Light because of the Apsaras skill that allows you to reach quite a high cap for auto damage if combined with Kumbhira's party wide seraphic buff.
Unfortunately the time needed to ramp up Kumbhira's buff is still quite high, but I guess the upgrades to that will need to wait 1 more year once she gets her FLB...

I should've probably used Hollowsky Axe instead of the Proving Ground weapon though as it would've enhanced even more the damage overall.
