Designed for upper elementary-age children, this "senior" version of Lightbot presents a collection of programming puzzles that use touch-and-drop commands to solve.
Like the more rudimentary "Junior" level, there are six sets of puzzles, each with nine challenges. Each starts locked, and must be solved in order, sequentially.
Each level asks you to guide a robot to light up tiles and solve levels using commands, introducing procedures, loops, and conditionals. Content consists of 50 levels and 20 challenges, in English, French, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Romanian, Norweigan, Slovenian and Indonesian; with no in-app purchases.
Lightbot was created in Canada using the OpenFL/Lime framework by a University of Waterloo student, Danny Yaroslavski. The music for Lightbot was created by Andrew Sky. See also Lightbot Jr., Tynker, Hopscotch and Scratch Jr.
