2Recent advances in artificial intelligence has made it a much more attractive and constructive addition to a defender's toolset. But there are still many misconceptions about what AI can do and how it should be applied as part of a defensive strategy. This talk will cover the types of AI most appropriate for use in cyber defense, use cases where AI can add the most value in security operations, and common misconceptions about what AI can do for defenders. Attendees will gain a better understanding of what AI can and cannot do in a defensive context, and how they can evaluate AI capabilities for their defensive arsenal while avoiding the hype.
