Like a Dragon: Ishin! - Part 35: Shinsengumi Tryouts & Chapter 3 End
Guess what? After a lot of side stuff, it's finally time to get back on the main story!
We make our way to the Shinsengumi barracks where we see a familiar face fighting another familiar face, and then there are more familiar faces!
But first, a boss fight against Nagakura Shinpachi! The battle starts off relatively easily, he has a few combos, including a guard-breaking two-hit, be wary of him turning around mid-combo while you smack him in the back, but overall nothing too dangerous.
When he gets to 50% health, he unleashes his heat aura and his blade becomes electrified, at that point he gets a new attack where he'll charge right at you, a perfectly timed block can prevent it, but failing to to do or dodge it leads to big damage.
You'll then meet Okita Soji and Hijikata Toshizo, the latter being quite impressed with Ryoma's skill and wanting to meet him one-on-one at a ryotei in Gion.
Once you've enjoyed your new quarters in the Shinsengumi and explored the place, head to Gion and to the designated place where you'll talk with Hijikata and...
Fight a Man in White! There... isn't much to say about him, this is an extremely easy fight, especially after Nagakura earlier. His "ultimate move" has him slowly walk forward a few steps before striking once, just step back and take the opportunity to riddle him with bullets.
And thus, Ishin's version of Sera manages to do even less than the original in the first game, dying without a single line of dialogue to his name, and "Saito Hajime" is up to be the new Third Division Captain, bringing the chapter to a close!
