Line Graph of peak temperatures of V340 dual GPUs (with Wathai 5000rpm fan)
I just decided to find out what is the temperature of my V340 GPUs at different PWM modes of the Wathai 5000rpm fan (47dB loud fan). GPU 1 is the GPU closest to the fan (AKA the second one on the card logically actually) while GPU 2 is the one further away. And as you probably know, at 30% it doesn't "count" as both GPU's RAM managed to overheat and test stopped.
Turns out that heat dissipation/airflow isn't linear either huh?
GPU 1 at 102W / Peak Junction Temperatures / One at a time
100% PWM = 55C
90% PWM = 55C
80% PWM = 57C
70% PWM = 60C
60% PWM = 63C
50% PWM = 68C
40% PWM = 84C
30% PWM = (RED RAM OVERHEATED) (97C)
GPU 2 at 102W / Peak Junction Temperatures / One at a time
100% PWM = 68C
90% PWM = 68C
80% PWM = 70C
70% PWM = 73C
60% PWM = 75C
50% PWM = 80C
40% PWM = 87C
30% PWM = RAM Overheat likely (95C)
Note : Due to a Microchip Switch Bug, or maybe the switch itself overheats, running both GPUs at once cannot be sustained.
